My mother’s dream, Sunnytown Place, was born in 2014. It was a magical indoor playground inspired by my children, Summer and Brody, then just toddlers. At the same time, she ran a dance studio—a legacy she passed down to me in 2016 when I decided to start my own business. I renamed it "Ohana," built on the principle that family leaves no one behind.

For two years, our dreams lived under one roof. But in 2018, that roof was torn down when the building was sold for demolition. I found a new home for Ohana, but Sunnytown, to my mother's heartbreak, was lost for good.

In 2024, my own studio had expanded. With an extra 3,000 square feet, I saw an opportunity. My family has grown, and a new generation—my niece Maggie, and my nephews, Grayson and Weston—never knew the magic of Sunnytown. I decided it was time to honor my mother's legacy and bring it back for them, creating the Ohana Clubhouse.

The soul of the old playground was an iconic, handmade tree. My mom, with incredible love and dedication, has recreated it for the new clubhouse, along with many other details of the new play-space. She has helped me to see & understand the love & commitment that goes into creating such a magical place. That tree is our story. It’s our family tree, with new branches for a new generation. It symbolizes our resilience and proves that even when a dream is cut down, love can make it grow again. Ohana means family, forever and always.
